Trustee Volunteer Role

Hours: approx 5 hours per month
Salary: This is a voluntary role.
Location: home based/Nourish Support Centre, Kirkcaldy

Help Shape the Future of Nourish Support Centre, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction of our charity and ensure we continue to provide vital support to carers and families of children and young people with additional needs.
As a trustee, you’ll bring your experience, insight, and commitment to help us strengthen our services and plan for the future. The role requires approximately 5 hours per month to prepare for and attend trustee meetings.

Trustee role description


Volunteer Support Worker  (After School Club)

Hours: Approx. 5–10 per week
Salary: This is a voluntary role.
Location: Nourish Support Centre

Join our team as a Volunteer Support Worker and help us deliver our After School Club for children and young people with additional needs. In this role, you’ll support our Family Support Team by: 
Interacting with children, young people, and their families in a warm, inclusive environment.
Assisting with fun, engaging activities that help attendees feel safe and supported.
Helping prepare simple hot snacks such as toasties, jacket potatoes, and toast.
Contributing to a welcoming atmosphere where carers can enjoy a short micro break and peer support.

Volunteer  (Charity Shop)

Hours: 10–15 per week
Salary: This is a voluntary role.
Location: Mercat Shopping Centre

Are you friendly, reliable, and looking for a way to make a difference? Join our team as a Charity Shop Volunteer and help us raise vital funds to support carers and families of children and young people with additional needs.
In this role, you’ll:

Assist with general merchandising and keeping the shop looking its best.
Handle cash and operate the till accurately and responsibly.
Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.
Work as part of a supportive team to ensure the smooth running of the shop.
