WE APPRECIATE ANY EFFORTS TO HELP FUNDRAISE FOR OUR SERVICES

Fundraising

Here we shine a light on all the incredible fundraising efforts that help Nourish thrive, from small community-led projects to big milestone moments. Every bake sale, sponsored walk, raffle, craft stall and tombola plays a part in supporting families with additional needs across Fife. We celebrate the generosity, creativity, and heart behind every contribution. We hope these stories inspire you to get involved, take part, or start your own fundraising journey. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Fundraising with Heart and Imagination

Our community never fails to surprise us with their creativity and kindness. From plunging into icy waters at the Loony Dook to striding proudly in the Kiltwalk, every fundraiser has been a celebration of courage, joy, and connection.
Here are just a few of the brilliant ways people have raised funds for Nourish:
• Dressing down (or up!) at work to spark conversations and donations
• Hosting heartfelt tea parties where every cuppa supports a family
• Organising tombolas, raffles, and games that bring people together
• Dancing, dipping, baking, crafting, singing the possibilities are endless
Whether you're planning a solo challenge, a team event, or a community celebration, we’re here to cheer you on. Every penny raised helps us build emotionally safe spaces and inclusive support for families across Fife.

Fife College Coffee Afternoon – Brewing Kindness for Nourish

In October, the School/College Partnership group at Fife College hosted a welcoming coffee afternoon, followed by a cheerful cake sale the next day. With delicious bakes, a variety of drinks, and a friendly atmosphere, the event raised £95.00 to support Nourish’s work with families across Fife.
The team promoted the event on social media and set up an information table to help raise awareness of Nourish’s inclusive, emotionally safe support. It was a brilliant example of community-led fundraising bringing people together, sharing stories, and making a real difference.
Huge thanks to Darren and the Hospitality, Tourism & Events team for their generosity and creativity.

Handmade Magic for Nourish

Jackie volunteers for Nourish and is one of our incredible community fundraisers who’s turned generosity and creativity into impact. Using donated and gifted items, all brand new, Jackie carefully curates and beautifully wraps small gift sets that anyone would be delighted to receive. From pamper packs to festive treats, each bundle is made with care and a touch of magic.
So far, Jackie has raised over £100 for Nourish through her handmade gifts and she’s not stopping there. With the busy Christmas season approaching, she’s hoping to double her total before the big day.
Her efforts not only raise vital funds, but also spread joy and awareness of Nourish’s work supporting families with additional needs across Fife. We’re so grateful for Jackie’s kindness, creativity, and commitment.

The Loony Dook – A Brave Dip for Dignity

Every New Year’s Day, as the sun rises over Kirkcaldy’s frosty shoreline, a brave band of locals gather for a tradition that’s as bold as it is heartwarming: the Loony Dook. With kilts, costumes, and plenty of laughter, they plunge into the icy waters not just to chase away the cobwebs of Hogmanay, but to make a real difference for families across Fife.
For many, this annual dip has become a pilgrimage of purpose. Whether it’s their first splash or their tenth, each Dooker brings energy, generosity, and a deep sense of community spirit. And every penny raised goes directly to supporting Nourish’s work creating emotionally safe spaces, inclusive outreach, and practical support for families with additional needs.
We’re endlessly grateful to everyone who’s made the Loony Dook part of their New Year ritual for Nourish. Your courage warms hearts long after the cold wears off.

Teddy Bears’ Picnic – Walking with Purpose and Paddington Sandwiches

On a sunny day in our local park, families, carers, and children gathered, teddy bears in tow for a joyful 2.2-mile walk that was anything but ordinary. Our annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic brought together community spirit, learning, and laughter, all in support of Nourish.
Children proudly collected sponsorships for their walk, learning about numbers, literacy, and responsibility along the way. With every step, they built confidence and connection, some even fuelled by marmalade sandwiches, just like Paddington himself!
After the walk, everyone tucked into their packed lunches, sharing stories and smiles on the grass. It was a beautiful reminder that fundraising can be fun, inclusive, and full of heart.
Huge thanks to all our little fundraisers and their cuddly companions for helping us build a kinder, more emotionally safe Fife.

There are lots of ways in which you can help us raise funds

Some of the fun things people in our community have already done are the loony dook, the kilt walk, a work dress down or dress up day, a fundraising tea party, tombolla etc.
