Hi my name is Lynne, I'm the Chief Exec of Nourish and a parent of children with additional support needs.

Throughout the years myself and my family have faced many challenges, I have been that parent sitting at home feeling lonely and isolated feeling I had no one to turn to who would understand what I was going through.

I founded Nourish in 2011 with 4 other parents who felt there was a lack of support for families who had children with additional support needs in the Kirkcaldy area.

I am Civil Servant and a dad to two grown up kids and two gorgeous grandkids. I learnt about the Nourish Charity and the excellent work they do through a friend and was keen to explore how my lived experience could be put to use.
I have received support from different charities and support services over the years and I was looking at being able to give something back.
I am now the Treasurer for Nourish and so excited to see what we can collectively do to support more service users across the area.

I am a full time carer and mum to my 4 adult children, 3 of whom have additional support needs.
As a founding member of Nourish, I have held many positions over the years, and now volunteer and sit on the board of trustees. 

As a parent of children with varied additional support needs, I feel I can be involved in making decisions that make Nourish the welcoming, safe, inclusive family it is, and help other families who are finding their feet in their own journeys.

I found out about the incredible work of Nourish through a friend who volunteers with them. After coming along to capture a volunteer video about the work Nourish does and just how important the work is, it didn't take long for me to get involved more and help, taking on a role within the board.

Father of one, working within retail and property management. I fell in love with Nourish after working alongside the organisation in a professional capacity. I was amazed to witness first hand, their huge positive impact on the local community. The organisation proved to me that even the smallest act of kindness, is the greatest thing in the world.

I am a parent/carer, and my professional role as a consultant I specialise in inclusion and co-production.

I love how Nourish takes the whole family's support to their service. Their one stop shop approach to support families makes a wonderful impact and tangible difference to people's lives.
