Fife Health & Social Care partnership

Supporting Carers, Families, and Communities

We are proud to introduce our funding project, supported by Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, which is dedicated to improving the wellbeing of parents, families, and unpaid carers of children and adults with additional support needs.
Through a combination of emotional and practical support, this project helps carers feel informed, connected, and empowered. Our core funding sustains the infrastructure of our support centre, creating an accessible, welcoming, and multi-functional community space where carers can find the help they need.

Our Key Priorities are:

INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE

We believe that carers should have easy access to clear, reliable, and timely information. To achieve this, we provide:
Dedicated Family Support Workers - A friendly, knowledgeable point of contact who offers personalised advice, guidance, and emotional support tailored to each carers family’s needs.
Regular Newsletters & Information Emails - Stay informed with updates on services, events, and helpful resources delivered straight to carers inbox.
Social Media Information Sharing - Our social channels provide the latest news, tips, and community stories, helping carers to feel connected and supported.
Informative Website - Our website is a hub of practical resources, guidance, and signposting to local and national support services, available whenever it is needed.

SOCIAL SUPPORT

We create opportunities for carers to connect, share experiences, and build supportive networks through:
Variety of Groups, Forums, and Event Programme - A diverse range of activities designed to suit different interests and needs, helping carers find the right space to connect.
Developing Services in a Wider Demographic Area - Expand our reach so more carers across Fife can access support, no matter where they live.
Effective Partnership Working - Collaborating with local organisations and services to provide joined-up support and maximise resources for carers.
Peer Support Groups - Regular sessions where carers can meet others who understand their challenges, share advice, and offer mutual encouragement.
Community Events and Activities - Social gatherings and workshops designed to foster friendships and strengthen community ties.

OPPORTUNTIES FOR BREAKS

Taking time for yourself is essential for maintaining balance and wellbeing. We help carers access meaningful breaks through:
Welcoming, Inclusive Environment - A safe and supportive space where carers feel comfortable and valued while taking time out.
Groups, Forums, and Event Programmes to Provide Micro Breaks - Short, engaging activities that offer carers a chance to relax, connect, and recharge without needing to commit to long periods away.
Information Sharing - Clear guidance on available respite options, local services, and practical tips to help carers plan and enjoy breaks.
Activity Programmes - Opportunities for carers to enjoy hobbies, exercise, or social activities while knowing their loved one is supported.
Flexible Support Options - Tailored solutions that fit around your caring responsibilities, making breaks achievable and stress-free.

POSITIVE EXPERIENCES

We want every carer to feel valued, respected, and involved. Our approach ensures:
Care Providers Forum - A platform for carers to share feedback, influence service development, and collaborate with providers.
Skill-Building Opportunities - Training sessions and workshops to help carers develop practical skills and boost confidence in their caring role.
Encouragement and Recognition - Celebrating carers’ contributions through events, awards, and ongoing appreciation.
Wellbeing Focus - Activities and resources designed to support carers’ mental, emotional, and physical health.
Inclusive Decision-Making - Carers’ voices are heard in shaping services and support, ensuring their experience matters.
Balanced Support - Helping carers maintain a healthy balance between caring and living their own active, fulfilling lives.
