WE ARE ALSO ABLE TO OFFER

Our Support Banks

CLOTHING

We understand how quickly clothing needs can change for growing families and how difficult it can be to keep up, especially during times of crisis. That’s why our Support Banks offer targeted mini projects throughout the year to help households access essential items when they need them most.
One of our most successful recent initiatives was our Back to School Clothing Project, which provided free uniforms, shoes, backpacks, and other essentials to help children return to school feeling confident and prepared. Families told us how much it meant to see their children kitted out with everything they needed and how it lifted a huge financial burden at a critical time.
Alongside these seasonal projects, our Nourish Charity Shop offers a wide range of clothing and footwear for all ages. Families referred by our family support team who are facing significant hardship may receive items at a discounted rate or free of charge, depending on their circumstances. We’re proud to offer this dignified, flexible support and to make sure no one is left without the basics.
We’re always grateful for donations of new or lightly used clothing and shoes, which help us keep our stock varied, inclusive, and ready to meet the needs of local families. Every item donated helps us extend warmth, dignity, and practical support to those who need it most.

HYGIENE

At Nourish, we believe that access to hygiene products is a basic right not a luxury. Cleanliness, comfort, and dignity should never be out of reach for any family, and our Hygiene Bank is here to make sure they aren’t.
We maintain generous stocks of sanitary products at both our Family Support Centre, available to any registered family who needs them. If those locations are closed or inaccessible, our Charity Shop carries a small supply for immediate use, ensuring no one is left without essential items.
We’re proud to work in partnership with The Hygiene Bank, whose ethos we deeply share. As they put it:

"A deodrant can make the difference between makingfriends or feeling lonely, a university place or missing out!  Shampoo can make the difference between getting a job offer or stying on benefits."

Together, we distribute donated items into hygiene packs that typically include soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and a toothbrush small things that make a big difference. These packs are available regularly to families registered with Nourish, helping to ease financial pressure and promote wellbeing.
We warmly welcome donations of new and unopened toiletries, which can be dropped off at our Family Support Centre or Community Hub. Every item donated helps us restore dignity, boost confidence, and support families through challenging times

BABY

Welcoming a new baby should be a joyful experience not a source of financial stress. At Nourish, we support expectant and new parents who are registered with our services and facing financial hardship, helping them prepare for their baby’s arrival with dignity and care.
Our Baby Bank keeps a small but thoughtful stock of newborn essentials, including clothing, blankets, bottles, nappies, and baby equipment. These items are available to families referred by our family support team, ensuring help is there when it’s needed most.
We know that the early days of parenthood can be overwhelming, especially when resources are tight. That’s why we work to make sure no parent feels alone or unprepared. One mum-to-be recently shared:

"I didn't know how I was going to manage to afford everything for our new baby. Nourish helped me with clothes, baby equipment and even a baby bath. It's taken so much pressure off, I feel ready now, and supported!"

Every item we provide is a gesture of care and every donation helps us extend that care further. We gratefully accept new and lightly used baby items, which can be dropped off at our Family Support Centre or Charity Shop
